How many areas of Smart Lipo can you get done at once?

If your hips are huge and part of a larger collection of fat that extends up the back, you might want to do it as a separate procedure. If the area is smaller, doing it on the same day shouldn't be a problem.

done under local anesthesia, the limitation is with the lidocaine toxicity and
your Plastic Surgeon will be able to determine the maximum amount of lidocaine
that can be injected based on your body weight.If your Smart Lipo is being done under general anesthesia, then your
liposuction amount will follow the rules of not being able to exceed 4-5 liters

It's very common to have multiple areas of SmartLipo performed by an experienced board certified plastic surgeon, but your surgeon will need to evaluate what is safe in your case.

Thank you for your question.  It should not be a problem to add an additional area during your surgery unless you have something in your medical history which would make you a high risk surgical patient.  If this area is something you seriously want to add you should contact your doctor's office as soon as possible and let them know you want to add an additional area.  Keep in mind, this may increase the price of your surgery as your quote was for the areas your mentioned above.  At the end of the day, if this is something you truly want to add, you will be happy you got it done with everything else.

the number of areas that can safely be done at one time, will depend on how large those areas are and how much fat is in those areas. Also it will depend on how high a concentration of lidocaine your surgeon uses.If someone is on the larger size, I will sometimes do only 2-3 areas at once and then bring them back a day or two later and do several more areas. if the person is quite petit, then i have done sometimes 5 areas, if they are small.the important thing is to be safe and comfortable. there is nothing wrong if your surgeon elects to do a number of areas over two days.

The number of areas of SmartLipo that can be done in one session really depends on the amount of fat present and whether you are doing the procedure awake or asleep (anesthetized). If awake, you can only do 3 to 4 areas normally. If asleep, you can do a lot more, but remember the maximum amount that can be suctioned in one setting is 5,000 cc. Good luck.
