Could this be a blood vessel problem after Juvederm in lips? Red vertical lines after 0,5 Juve in philtrum, scarring? (Photo)

YesterdayI have got0,5 ofJuvedermUltraSmile injected into my philtrum to make it and the cupid bow stand out more.The doc injected it a little over the red of the lips and on the stripes of the philtrum.Then the philtrum looked wide,flat,shiny. After1h vertical lines of my philtrum got red.The lines are visible:Blue-red. Could this be a blood vessel problem?Ive read its an emergency cause it leaves scars.I cant see my doctor now cause itsSaturday night. Is it possible I am disfigured forever?

Yes, it is a common practice to mix Juvederm with saline for areas of thin skin, such as under the eyes. The reason for this is if too much is injected, it can give you the “tindle effect”. This means that you can see the filler through the skin, causing a blueish hue. Also, the proteins in juv...

It can take weeks for the injection sites to heal, but in near all cases they heal well. It's nothing to worry about. If the spots are still concerning you after a few weeks, I recommend going back into your injector.

It depends. Sometimes we can do that. If you have a favorable lip we can sometimes lift with filler - though often a small lip lift is preferable.

Thank you for submitting your question. It is rare but swelling in the perioral region and face 4-6 weeks after lip injections may occur.  This is due to touching the treated area post procedure can lead to mild infection. This easily treated with course of antibiotics. Steroids will also...

Thank you for submitting your question.  I would go see you physician or a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in the country you are visiting, esp. with the pain ypur describing.   It is hard to diagnosis without an examination and photo is limited.  Best wishes.
