I had the marionette lines of my mouth (along the top outline of my top lip) injected with juvaderm (which I have been doing for over a year with no reaction) my last injection was a month ago and tonight my top lip (first affecting the right side, but now beginning to affect the left side) started to swell. It isn't painful, just swollen. What on earth is happening and what should I do? Should I just wait and hope it goes away?

Thank you for submitting your question. I would go see you physician or a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in the country you are visiting, esp. with the pain ypur describing. It is hard to diagnosis without an examination and photo is limited. Best wishes.
Bruising after injections can be disappointing side effect of the treatment. Even in the best injectors hands, bruises can occur. That said, if its a bruise (without an exam its hard be certain, but certainly looks like one) it will go away. Two possible ways to quicken the process--Arnica cream...
Usually about 2 syringes are used for the parentheses lines as a general rule, but this is patient dependent. See a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon for best results with your injections.
