I had a breastlift 4 weeks ago. I have been walking outside since 5 days post op, adding a little distance weekly. I’ve had no complications and have been healing well. Today I vacuumed and changed sheets on the bed. I showered and noticed new slight bruising on the outer side of one breast. It is a little painful. Should I be concerned? Or have I just overdone too soon? I had surgery in FL and am back in my home state so a recheck at the original surgeon is not an option, Thanks
Answer: Bruising Dear bbullard0, it is not normal to have new bruising and pain after 4 weeks. I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Surgery You did not post photos, and you can always send your surgeon photos. However, you probably overdid things and got a small bruise. Apply some cold compresses for comfort.

Answer: Breast Lift Hello, and thank you for your question. (Keep in mind that an in-person consultation is necessary for the best advice.) It is difficult without seeing a picture or examining you. It could be a number of things including something minor (e.g., a simple bruise) or something more significant (e.g., a collection of blood). You should speak with your plastic surgeon promptly and ask for his/her advice. Best of luck! Matthew A. DelMauro, M.D.
