I had a breastlift 4 weeks ago. I have been walking outside since 5 days post op, adding a little distance weekly. I’ve had no complications and have been healing well. Today I vacuumed and changed sheets on the bed. I showered and noticed new slight bruising on the outer side of one breast. It is a little painful. Should I be concerned? Or have I just overdone too soon? I had surgery in FL and am back in my home state so a recheck at the original surgeon is not an option, Thanks

Answer: Surgery You did not post photos, and you can always send your surgeon photos. However, you probably overdid things and got a small bruise. Apply some cold compresses for comfort.

Answer: New onset bruising Thanks for your inquiry , it is not normal to have new onset painful bruising a month after surgery. Please discuss with your surgeon, send pictures and discuss management. Good Luck.

It could be a number of things including something minor (e.g., a simple bruise) or something more significant (e.g., a collection of blood). You should speak with your plastic surgeon promptly and ask for his/her advice. Best of luck!
