Septoplasty after rhinoplasty - is it possible?

Yes, a septoplasty can be done after rhinoplasty, but a thorough search for causes of nasal obstruction would have to be done first. Is there internal or external valve collapse? Is there a significant enough deviation of the septum present where fixing it would give a good improvement? Sometimes it's as easy as fixing the septum, while other times, cartilage grafts have to be added. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.

A septoplasty can be done after a rhinoplasty. The septoplasty is done if you are having problems breathing caused by the septum. However, your results from the rhinoplasty may have caused your problem with breathing. You could have scarring internally which narrowed the airway. You need to be evaluated by someone to determine what the actual cause of your breathing problem.

If there is no problem with the outside of your nose, of course the inside of your nose can be corrected with a separate surgery. There is no need to widen the tip of your nose for this.
