My dr is saying "there's no way to change what nature gave you", is there any hope for a surgical fix? I really don't prefer fillers and other temporary things, I wouldn't have gotten an operation if I knew I would have to rely on temporary measures.
Answer: Rhinoplasty after Septoplasty Thank you for your question. It is defiantly possible to perform a rhinoplasty after a patient has undergone a septoplasty. Hopefully you are not having any breathing difficulties. I do not see your pre-septoplasty photographs so I don't know what your unoperated nose looked like, but from your photographs you have a C-Shaped Nasal Deformity and some fullness of the nasal tip. The septum should be straightened and your nasal bones fractured laterally to bring your nose into a straight line. If you desire more refinement of your nasal tip some minimal cartilage trimming would be optimal. If breathing is an issue, you should see a surgeon who is Board Certified in Otolaryngology and Plastic Surgery. Dr. Rondi Walker Boca Raton, Florida drwalker@spsboca.com 561-367-9101
