Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to find out the best option for you. He/she will need to examine you to assess the shape, projection, and symmetry of your nipples, areolas, and breasts.Sometimes patients with nipples larger than their breasts are interested in a breast augmentation at the same time that their nipples or areolas are reduced. If that interests you, you should discuss it during your consultation. The video associated with this answer is about a donut mastopexy for reducing the diameter of the areolas. If you're interested in reduction of the nipple itself, click on the link below to view a video that includes nipple reduction before-and-after views. All the best.
Dear Seantanis, If it is strictly how far forward the nipples areprojecting, that can easily be corrected under local anesthesia. On the otherhand, if you are referring to the areolae having too large a diameter, that ismore complicated which would require reduction in the operating room. I hope this has been helpful to you.Robert D. Wilcox, M.D.
