there are many different disolvable stitches with different dissolving times. Some types dissolve after a few days, others take weeks, and some disolvable sutures take months. Also there is the possibility that your sutures are permanent and need to be take out. Speak to your surgeon.
It depends on if they are dissolvable or not dissolvable sutures (stiches) to begin with, as there are some that do not dissolve. Among the types that dissolve, it depends on which type your surgeon used as there are some that dissolve after a couple days and others that can take 6 months. Thus, it is best to ask your surgeon this question, since they know what suture they used.
If your nipples continue to hurt and there is little improvement, see your surgeon to see if you need any medications to help with irritated nerves
Hi, thanks for your question. Your surgical options really depend on what you would hope to achieve from surgery in addition to nipple-areolar complex reduction. This could be combined with an uplift procedure +/- augmentation with breast implants or fat transfer to give you the best results....
Unfortunately only surgery can reduce the size of your nipple. Fortunately, nipple reduction is a relatively simple procedure that can be performed using a local anesthetic as an office procedure.
