Is there away to boost or speed up collagen production after Bellafill injections?

I am not aware of any topical preparations, applied to the skin, or any other methods to speed up or boost collagen production after a Bellafill treatment.  It is really just a matter of time for the body to react to the PMMA to produce the enhancement.  

Bellafill becomes collagen very quickly and isn't "in your skin" after a short time period but stimulates your own collagen production. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. A skin test is needed to see if you're a candidate for Bellafill. Best, Dr. Emer

This is all just theoretical but you might be able to speed up collagen by adding PRP to the injection area. Oral collagen supplements might add to the final results but that controversial. You have to make sure that you are in a positive metabolic state, have no medical debilitating issues, don't have an autoimmune disorder, don't smoke, and don't take any medications which suppress the immune system including anti-inflammatories.

Thank you for your question. There is really nothing you can do to speed up the collagen production that is stimulated by Bellafill. Keep in mind that as the carrier collagen matrix is absorbed by your body, new collagen is beginning to form. I have used HA fillers such as Restylane in conjunction with Bellafill for patients looking for a more immediate enhancement but this involves a go slow approach with the Bellafill to avoid over-correction.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

There is really no way to speed up the process. However, the good news is that I have never seen a case in which Bellafill did not stimulate collagen in the way we that expect. There is certainly variability in how long it takes for each patient. I have some patients that see great results within a couple of months and a some that take up to 9-10 months.
