I must first address the use of Bellafill in the lips and penis. These are areas that absolutely shouldn't be injected. Infection, nodularity are much higher risk in these areas. If a long standing correction is desired, I would choose fat in these areas. Alcohol does not affect the volume of Bellafill.

Thank you for your question. There are no current studies showing that alcohol reduces the body's production of collagen synthesis. In fact excessive consumption of alcohol can increase the body's production of type IV collagen which can lead to fibrosis of the liver. Since Bellafill is a biostimulator in which the PMMA particles stimulate collagen production, alcohol should have no significant effect on the results.
