I have large visible vein under the eye! What treatment would you recommend? (photos)

I am 40 years old and I have a large visible vein under my right eye. The vein became apperant after I had a CO2 laser treatment done under both eyes in nov. 2013. After a few months the vein became more and more apperant. In june 2014 I had restylane injected under both eyes. The vein is still visible and it bothers me a lot! My skin is also very thin. I hope there is a treatment for this problem; under eye veins.

Ninairen, thank you for your question. Your situation is not uncommon. The skin
is usually thinned after CO2 laser treatments to the face. By thinning the
facial skin, this makes facial veins more visible. The CO2 laser is not
designed for treatment of face veins. The Nd:YAG laser is created for the
treatment of the face. It is extremely useful in areas of the face that you
have described. Because your facial skin has been thinned with the use of the
CO2 laser, I would suggest a lower setting on the Nd:YAG laser. I believe with
the appropriate setting on the Nd:YAG your eyelid vein will go away in 1-2
treatments in the office.

Thank you for posting high quality and high definition pictures. The veins are sizeable enough where sclerotherapy will be effective. Other treatment options include laser using the KTP 532 nm or ND YAG 1064 nm devices. More than one treatment may be necessary to obliterate these veins for best cosmesis.

I would recommend laser vein treatment of veins near the eye.  Patients have great result with one treatment.  They will have busing for about one week with moderate to large amount of swelling.

Laser treatment with long pulsed Nd:YAG laser can be considered for blue veins under the eyes.  This is an advanced treatment which requires special expertise and care to make sure to protect the eye.  In my hands, laser treatment has been successful for many blue veins under the eyes.

There are multiple options for treatment of under eye veins including sclerotherapy, laser, IPL, VeinWave, VeinGogh , Microneedle radiofrequency and surgical removal.  With your history of prior laser treatment and thin skin, sclerotherapy would be the best choice followed by removal via micro incisions.  See someone with experience treating veins in this area.
