Rhinoplasty- hump removed as well as the tip made smaller. Overall, a smaller nose. Glabella bone- bone reduced to where it looks smoothed out. Currently, it looks as if it casts a shadow in that area. Want to look more feminine. Looking for doctors in Nashville, Tennessee as well as Greensboro, Charlotte, and Raleigh North Carolina and can do Virginia as well.
Answer: More feminine for your nose means shorter, with a narrower tip, and without the bump. See the morphs I made from your photos. Click on the "Web reference" link, just below my response, or go here: FacialSurgery.com/RealSelf/RealSelf_gamerduchess.html I made a couple of computer morphs of your nose, and animations of the morphs, to show the changes that are possible for your nose in truly expert hands. I narrowed the tip of your nose. Also, I elevated the tip upwards, and I lowered the bump along the bridge of the nose. The model's nose that you posted is very short, so perhaps you would like the tip of your nose elevated even more than I showed in the morphs. You should understand that the changes I demonstrated in the morph require advanced techniques, techniques that most plastic surgeons cannot handle. Be sure to read the section in the "Web reference" link on how to stay out of trouble while searching for a rhinoplasty surgeon. You should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. Read that page very carefully. Most plastic surgeons are quite poor at this operation, and I believe my advice will go a long way toward keeping you safe. I'd love to hear what you think of the morphs. Did they seem to address your main concerns? Your nose is also a good example of why computer imaging is mandatory in rhinoplasty. You need to know exactly what the surgeon is planning to accomplish -- what features he thinks he can change, and by how much he thinks he can change them. When you see his goals, you'll know whether he has an eye for a beautiful nose, and whether he shares your opinion of what constitutes a beautiful nose. You'll also know whether the changes he proposes are enough to be meaningful to you, and whether he understands your wishes enough to address all of your priorities. But remember, you're not hiring him for his skills with the computer. The doctor must then show you his before and after photos to prove that he can actually accomplish what he draws on the computer. In your case in particular, you need to find a surgeon who understands all of the issues I mentioned, and how they fit together, and who can actually accomplish them in surgery.

Answer: Rhinoplasty discussions Hello and thanks for the pictures and questions- I think what you're saying is that you want a smaller nose and you think the glabella is over projected. I don't think your glabella is overprojected. I think you have a underprojected part of your nose called the radix. You see, it's all about relationships- your radix is low and this makes it look like your glabella is strong. With some tip refining techniques the nasal tip can also be sculpted and refined to be slimmer, more narrow and defined. Hope this helps and God Bless! Dr. Robb

Answer: Rhinoplasty and Glabella bone reduction Hello, You have hump and bulbous tip as you pointed out. That can be improved by rhinoplasty . Additional work like Alar base refinement will give further improvement. You also have, whats called a low radix -the low height of nose forehead junction . That increases the demarcation between the forehead and nose . Radix elevation with graft will smoothen the demarcation and make less shadow there. Coming to forehead- it looks in normal position in relation to the rest of the face in the side views. Tadix elevation should be enough and practical. Forehead contouring is done for more severe cases. It involves lifting up a large flap through a long incision inside hairline and shaving down the elevated part. Examination in person and 3D CT scan can tell if there is scope for that, and if its a worthwhile surgery for you. My opinion -just Rhinoplasty
