Are meat products used to make the Voluma gel? If so, what type of meat?

I am 67 and considering volume injection in my cheeks. I am also allergic to mammalian meats (Alpha-gal) such as beef, pork, lamb, even whale. I have been told to steer away from gel products as many are made up of meat by-products. Would this be part of the voluma product?

Voluma is a non-animal, biodegradable gel composed of hyaluronic acid.  To my knowledge, there's no animal products in it of any kind.  It is made by Allergan, and they have a costumer service line that you can reach to ask questions.  I've posted the link below for you.

Thank you for sharing your question. I am pretty confident that all HA fillers are synthetically produced using bacterial fermentation processes and as a result would not require the use of any animal product.  Restylane has NASHA technology that is Non-Animal Stabilized HA.  Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. Juvederm Voluma is made of Hyaluronic Acid, which are natural ingredients that occur in our bodies & skin.
