Temple area injected and now I feel ill - could this be from the procedure or maybe a bit of anxiety?

I had my temple area injected yesterday by a highly regarded clinic. They used juvaderm volume and today there is minimal discomfort and no bruising but I feel nauseous and a bit dizzy.

I recommend following up with your Doctor for a formal evaluation. If necessary, this can be reversed with hyaluronidase. It may take a series of treatments. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your nausea.  Assuming you have no significant healing issues at your temples, this nausea should pass very quickly as your results mature.  Hang in there and bring this up with your injector so that they can follow you along closely.  Hope this helps.

I inject many patients in the temple area and I prefer Sculptra over Voluma for this area.  I would consult with your treating physician to evaluate the area and it can be dissolved with Hyaluronidase if necessary.  Best, Dr. Green

Hi and thanks for the question.  When there is a significant complication injecting the temples it usually happens immediately.  My guess is that it is either from anxiety/mild trauma from the procedure or unrelated (eg viral illness).  I would give it a day or two and if it doesn't improve, contact your provider.
