Is it possible to lift a breast by pulling up the skin of the chest?

Question

Id really rather have a small line of scar a few inches above my nipples, on my chest, than scarring from any of the traditional lift methods. When I pinch the skin, my breasts sit naturally right where I want them.

Thank you for your inquiry.The
crescent lift is a minor lift of just the areola that is performed along the
top of the areolar border to slightly lift the areolar/nipple complex. It
doesn’t lift the breast much and can distort the shape of the areola.I would recommend seeking the advice of a plastic surgeon and having a
consultation to help you determine the best option for your situation.

Interesting question, but no PS in their right mind would place scars on top of the breasts like you describe. I agree with you on the unappealing appearance of traditional breast lift scars. Hi Rynagade!I suppose so, but can't say for sure without photos or an exam.  Here are some tips. Be sure to see only a
board certified plastic surgeon (by ABPS - The American Board of Plastic
Surgery) who is a member of ASAPS (The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic

A peri-areolar or donut mastopexy can elevate the nipple as much as 2 inches with the only scar being around the outside edge of the areola. This is a well camouflaged scar since there is a natural color change between the areolar skin and the surrounding breast skin. This is an outpatient procedure and the recovery is very straight forward. For those women who are good candidates for this procedure the results are excellent. Unfortunately, if it is necessary to lift the nipples beyond 2 inches one of the other approaches is necessary. Thank you for your question.  I can't tell you how many woman come into the office asking the same thing.  We could get into a long conversation during a consultation as to why a breast lift is done the way it is with the scars you are referring to.  Long story short, there really is no good way to avoid the typical lollipop or anchor scars typical of a breast lift.  These scars tend to heal extremely well, especially when it is just a lift and not a lift with a heavy implant.  Consult with one or more board certified plastic surgeons to discuss your options.  Best wishes!

There is no magic way to do a breast lift without scars.  The scars tend to heal very well.  Consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to discuss your options and expectations.

It seems so tempting to do what you are suggesting, doesn't it. If you actually placed scars in the location you're discussing you would hate it. It simply isn't done. Unfortunately you will have to except one of the current standard techniques. It's not for everyone but I particularly like the one with the scar just around the areola  but the results are limited. In any case, make sure you are consulting with board-certified plastic surgeon's. Hope this is of some help to you.
