Good skin care (without Retin A, retinol or retinoids), avoiding the sun, and using vitamin C serums are all safe ways to minimize your smiles lines while pregnant. Don’t use Botox or injectable dermal fillers because there are no safety studies on their effects during pregnancy or nursing. I hope this helps.
Don’t use Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin or dermal fillers while you are pregnant. You can improve the look under your eyes with chemical peels, lasers, and fillers. Avoid retinoids and retinol. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist who can help you find noninvasive ways of helping you feel better about your skin while you enjoy this amazing time in your life.
Unfortunately, while you're pregnant and breast feeding Botox, Dysport and dermal fillers are out of your life. Perhaps a facial or microneedling might be a better option. Good luck. Dr. ALDO
Botox is a great product, but it is best to check with a physician first. Please consult with your doctor before deciding to use Botox while pregnant.
There are no cosmetic injectables that are considered safe during pregnancy. It's best to wait until after you deliver and are finished breast feeding before restarting your cosmetic routine. Good luck!
There are no safe procedures during pregnancy for smile lines around the eye. The safety of neuromodulators such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin is unknown during pregnancy and breastfeeding and hence recommended against. Good luck with your pregnancy and best wishes!
I tell patients there is likely no issues with doing these treatments in pregnancy, however, i would avoid cosmetic procedures while trying to get pregnant or while pregnant to avoid any issues as there are no studies validating safety. Best, Dr. Emer.
Your dermatologist can help you look as good as you feel during this wonderful time in your life. You definitely should avoid using Botox or any other injectable treatment, simply because there is no way to know for sure that it is safe for your baby. Superficial treatments should be fine, as long as you avoid vitamin A and its derivatives, such as retinol (Retin A). Improving the surface of your skin with gentle therapies, such as microneedling, chemical peels, and Vitamin C would give you a big improvement. A board-certified dermatologist will work with you to get the more relaxed and energized look you want.
Unfortunately Botox, dysport, and dermal fillers are not safe for pregnancy or while breast feeding. You may try using laser treatments, micro needling, or facials during your pregnancy. Always be sure to check with your physician before any treatments. Wish you the best and a healthy pregnancy!
Unfortunately there are no injectibles available to treat this area that are proven safe to use during pregnancy. It is best for you to wait until after delivery before having Botox again.
First, I suggest going back to your injector/physician or seeing another injector who specializes in Botox and Dysport injections. It takes 1-2 weeks for final results with Botox. Botox results resolve in 3-4 months so be sure you see your injector to address this concern. Good luck. Dr. ALDO
Hello, yes botox can be used around the lip area, to either prevent gummy smile, or to lift the lip into a curl look. It is best to speak to your practitioner about this and get them to assess the area before doing.
Hello barranippk. The diagnosis of a hematoma must be made by your injector upon physical examination of the area. You can compress with ice and pressure while you're calling your injector for an evaluation.Good luck. Dr. ALDO
