I am 58 and have a botched nose job which left a dent, would fillers fix this? (Photo)

Hi and thanks for your question. Both the bump and the dent can be corrected via filler injection. This is the kind of thing I do on a daily basis here in Los Angeles. Often the subtle changes that post surgical patients need are beyond the precision of surgical revision and fillers actually do a better job. Fillers are certainly less risky, less expensive and less disruptive to your life than revision surgery. I start with a long lasting hyaluronic filler like Voluma and then either continue with that every year and a half, or switch to a long lasting filler like Bellafill. Hope that helps

As time goes on, indentations and irregularities may become present after previous rhinoplasty surgery. If that indentation is bothering you, depending on your examination, microdroplet Silikon 1000 injections may be considered for permanently filling this area for a more symmetrical nasal tip appearance. Filler would be a much less costly procedure and while not permanent, it would likely last more than 1 year.  Once you have had surgery, the anatomy of the vessels in the nose change making injection more risky.  Make sure you go to someone experienced in this procedure.  However, I am sure that filler can make an imprivement.

The dent is caused by over resected lower lateral cartilages and can be easily corrected with fillers and repeated treatments can correct the dent in the long run.
Bump also can be balanced with fillers.
Fillers are quite safe if they are injected by a professional expert nose injector 

Dermal fillers are a wonderful option for patients who do not desire to go through surgery for their nose.  The results are immediate and accurate and they can last up to a year or slightly longer.  We recommend a tiny correction at about 6 months to maintain the look you desire.  I usually tell my patients that they can always use the remaining material for the tear trough area or another area in the face that concerns them since so little material is usually used to fix the nose.
