I'm thinking of getting hyaluronic fillers for my nose bridge because it was (sadly...) lowered by previous rhinoplasty. Honestly I would like to use them for life, but am worried that after some years of using fillers they will create a lot of scar tissue or other unsightly volume to my nose bridge?
Answer: Can injecting filler into the bridge of the nose change my appearance in the long-run? No, you have little to worry about. Injecting filler does result in a small uptick in collagen, but not enough to make a long-term difference in the appearance of your nose. More important is to find an injector that understands the anatomy and blood supply of the nose, and the potential pitfalls of injecting filler into the nasal bridge (dorsum). My very best!

Answer: Would you consider a permanent nonsurgical nose job? When somebody's bridge has been lowered several millimeters to low, and our experience, microdroplets Silikon 1000 injections may be considered for raising the bridge and for achieving a more pleasing nasal appearance. Dorsal nasal fillers may lead to widening of the nose if too much filler is placed, or if the augmentation is performed too quickly. The scale of the person holding the syringe it's very important for achieving a desirable result. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Answer: Nonsurgical Nose Jobs Are A Time-Tested Method For Straightening Nasal Bridge Deformities I have personally been performing nonsurgical nose jobs for well over fifteen years now, first with Radiesse and more recently with hyaluronic acid-based volumizers. The latter include Voluma XC and Restylane Lyft in my Manhattan office and Hyabell Deep and Restylane Volyme in my Israel satellite facility, where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved injectable volumizers are available. Throughout this extended period of time I have had many occasions for repeating the treatments as needed to maintain the improvements, and, to date, have not seen any build up of scar tissue, nor any widening of the nasal bridge, even after repeated touch-up injections at the same site throughout the years. As an aside, make sure that you consult and receive treatment from a board certified aesthetic physician with experience and expertise in performing nonsurgical nose jobs, since post-surgical rhinoplasty noses tend to have compromised vasculature and fibrotic scarring underneath as a result of the prior surgery that can complicate a simple nonsurgical procedure. Make sure that you ask to see his/her personal before and after photos before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.

Answer: Non Surgical Nosejob Candidate-- with Fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) No, HA fillers should not cause scar tissue and will not cause permanent changes. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results. Facial fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose. Surgery would be needed to improve nostrils or overall shape. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Fillers to build up the nasal bridge It's quite reasonable to try a hyaluronic acid gel filler (e.g., Juvederm, Restylane, etc.) to build up an over-resected bridge. Avoiding the widening you fear can be done by placing the filler rather narrowly along the bridge. It is extremely unlikely that that would ever create unsightly volume or scarring. However, I usually suggest that if a patient likes the results from a hyaluronic filler, they may want to consider making it more permanent with a PMMA filler such as Bellafill rather than having to keep filling the area year after year.Hope this helps,--DCPPearson Facial Plastic Surgery®
