Hello and thank you for your question! Based on the picture you provided, a traditional tummy tuck, or lipoabdominoplasty, would be a good option to help remove the excess, loose skin and contour the abdomen. As always, an in-office consult with a plastic surgeon would be recommended to best evaluate what procedure and techniques would be most effective for your concerns and outcome goals. Hope this helps!
Hello I.rosario in New Hampshire. Thank you for your question regarding the removal of fat and tightening of the abdominal area.Based on your goal of removing fat and tightening your abdomen, I recommend a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). A tummy tuck is the most effective procedure to address loose and excess skin, tighten the abdominal muscles, and create a flatter, more toned abdomen. In addition to the tummy tuck, I would recommend pairing the procedure with liposuction of the flanks. Liposuction will help to remove excess fat from the sides of your waist, further enhancing your body contour and providing a more sculpted appearance.During a tummy tuck, an incision is made low on the abdomen, excess skin and fat are removed, and the abdominal muscles are tightened. The combination of these procedures will give you the best overall results by addressing both the skin and fat in the abdominal area. Please consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your specific needs and to develop a personalized surgical plan.Good luck, and I hope you achieve the results you desire.Sincerely,J. Your photos show the typical stigmata of the post-baby belly - loose skin with stretch marks, distended abdomen, and slight excess fat under the skin. Based on your photos, you would likely benefit most from a full abdominoplasty and shaping lipo.See the link below for more information.A typical full abdominoplasty patient is at or near their ideal weight and is looking for help in removing excess skin and tightening of the abdominal wall after they are done bearing children. It can be a powerful procedure that can remove excess skin and stretch marks from below the belly button and tighten the belly muscles. The trade off is a scar in the bikini line that extends hip to hip and a scar around the belly button.A detailed examination will help delineate the best surgical option. Consultation with a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery would be the next best step.
You have a textbook belly for a tummy tuck. This is mostly because of the skin sagging you have there. If you did liposuction alone, you would not see much of a difference but the sagging would look worse (and so would the overall belly). The tummy tuck skin excision would make the biggest difference for you, followed by the diastasis muscle repair, along with some liposuction to help thin you out. You do not have a ton of fat to make a big difference with lipo so I would very much recommend the tummy tuck with some liposuction. You can get a very nice result and difference. Best of luck on your journey!
Hello and thank you for your question. From the picture you have provided, you have a moderate amount of excess subcutaneous fat and skin throughout your lower to mid abdomen, with excess skin particularly notable above your umbilicus (belly button). Your issue is mainly central- there isn't really any notable flank adiposity (excess skin/fat), and only a minimal amount of upper abdomen adiposity- but evaluation is limited from just this one picture. Based on all this, you would benefit from a traditional abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) to best help improve your abdominal/trunk contour. Regarding the transverse lower abdominal scar, it should be well hidden within your bikini or underwear, and if you adhere to proper scar care and sun avoidance after surgery, it should eventually heal to be minimally noticeable. With all that said, it is always difficult to provide tentative surgical recommendations, as there is only so much information to be gained from any photos and descriptions provided. I recommend for you to come see me or another plastic surgeon for a formal consultation to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate all your options (surgical and nonsurgical), and decide on the best procedure(s) for your specific case. I hope this helps!Best wishes,Dr. Donald GrovesPlastic Surgeon
Hi there, I would reccomend an abdominplasty. The surgery involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen in order to tighten the muscle and fascia of the abdominal wall. You should meet with a board certified plastic surgeon to review your goals.
Hi l.rosario,Based on the photos, you have a substantial amount of skin excess, and some extra fat especially below the belly button. Tummy tuck can be an excellent option, in order to remove excess skin and fat from the belly button to the pubic hairline, perform liposuction of the flanks, and tighten the right to left gap between the 6 pack muscles, commonly known as rectus diastases. I would suggest meeting with a qualified board certified plastic surgeon to discuss.Hope this helps.Best,Christopher Pannucci MD MSBoard Certified Plastic SurgeonPlastic Surgery NorthwestSpokane, Washington
Thank you for your question. A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is a procedure designed to remove excess loose skin (and lower abdominal wall fat if present) of the abdomen. If the abdominal wall muscles are weakened or separated in the midline (rectus diastasis), muscle repair (plication) may also be recommended. This is determined at the time of the consultation with your surgeon. The goal of the abdominoplasty procedure is to create a flatter and firmer abdominal contour. It is important to know that with an abdominoplasty procedure, there will be a scar in the lower abdomen, and most often a scar around the belly button.
Thank you for your question and photo provided. You satisfy with a lipoabdominoplasty at all amd have an amazing shape.
In order to remove excess skin and subcutaneous tissue abdominoplasty with plication is the surgery of choice. During this procedure the soft tissue is excised and the rectus muscles (i.e. abdominal muscles) are brought back to the midline (a diastasis is an abnormal separation of the muscles). In my practice tummy tuck patients are amongst the happiest! You should discuss your care with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who should be able to provide more information. Thank you for your question.
Thank you for your question and for providing your lab details. Low cholinesterase levels can be concerning in certain medical contexts, particularly when anesthesia is involved, but the fact that both your surgeon and anesthesiologist have approved you for surgery is very reassuring...
Thank you for your question. I can't comment on pain medications administered in India, and in any case the exact pain regimen would likely vary depending on the surgeon. In my own practice I use a combination of a muscle block with a long-acting local anesthetic, plus different medications so...
