Is it true that if you gain weight after a BBL surgery, the surface of the skin will be uneven and lumpy? I have seen photos of patient that look good during recovery however she gain weight a few years after lipo & BBL and the skin surface seems lumpy and bumpy compared to a non lipo-ed/BBL person of the same size
Answer: Uneven and lumpy skin Dear Cool7356, if the liposuction is well done, then there should be no unevenness and lumps. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Myth or Truth on Fat Graft - if you gain weight the surface of the skin will be uneven and lumpy? Hello @Cool7356, thank you for your question. Myth, if you gain weight after a BBL surgery, the surface of the skin will not necessarily be uneven or lumpy. It depends on the expertise of the specialist undertaking the procedure and also on the technology used in order to produce consistent results. It's important to know that seeding fat is a safe procedure in expert hands. Not all the fat that is removed from the body is repositioned in buttocks or breast. the fat has a selection process, a cleansing process, a filtering process. Changing the characteristics of its application to be able to achieve that the fat implanted will remain for a long time without becoming lumpy. I link a video to shed more light. Best wishes! Answer: Buttock appearance after gaining weight? Fat grafts, once taken and stable (about 1 year after fat transfer), will behave as your original fat tissue; if patient gains weight, volume of the buttocks will proportionally increase. For patients who had cellulite before surgery that may look more lumpy than with lower weight. Hope this helps.

Answer: Keeping things simple There are basically two variables to determine quality cosmetic surgery outcomes. The first is patient candidacy, and the second is the skill of the surgeon. Procedures are either done well or not done well on patients who are either good candidates or not such good candidates. Weight gain is weight gain and people get fat or get skinny and all of these are fairly independent. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD

Answer: Buttock Cellulite Hi. The fat graft shouldn't cause lumpiness after weight gain. I believe the lumpiness you are referring to is Cellulite. It's caused by small fibers that tether the skin down. When people gain weight, these tetherings become more obvious and prominent. They can be treated with Aveli, which cuts the fibers that tether down the skin and cause dimpling and lumps.
