I had a lower bleopharoplasty done and the incision line scar is very visible with an indented fold. If the lower incision line was made too low, can a revision be done and use tissue glue instead of sultures to minimize the scarring?
Answer: The lower incision on the right side would be consistent with a left handed surgeon. I agree with the comment about skin glue-it is very imprecise. A properly structured and carefully sutured clean skin incision is much better.Your surgery was very recent. I strongly recommend that you let the incisions heal for 6 to 12 months. If the incisions are still not to your liking, revisional surgery can be performed to raise the lower eyelid incision to the lash line. This most likely needs to be done on both sides.

Answer: Scar Thank you for your question. You need to wait about one year before you'll know where the scar ends up. As it continues to heal and mature it will flatten out and fade. Chances are it will not be noticeable, but a scar revision can be done if you are still not happy with the result.

Answer: Low scar You need to wait until the scar matures, then if needed a revision can be done. Do not use tissue glue -- sutures well done on the lower lid are invisible.

Answer: Scar line issue The photo doesn't help much. I am not a fan of tissue glue. We are board certified plastic surgeons and gluing an incision is what non-surgeons who do not know or like sewing do. The best suture line is one using a fine suture material as well as surgical skill. I think you really need to allow things to heal before jumping to conclusions.
