It is very likely that after augmentation you may end up with similar result as during breast feeding time; these are nice looking breasts. I would consider doing moderate/moderate plus implants in your case based on this comparison. Good luck.

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You are a good candidate for augmentation but do not require a lift. The size and type of implant will depend on your measurements and breast characteristics. The final result will be a larger version of your current breasts.

determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs.

I suspect you will do well with just an enlargement, but measurements are needed to be sure. I suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon, being measured, and examined, and trying of the range of sizes that best fits your frame and tissue.

This is a very common dilemma in many patients desiring augmentation after children. A breast augmentation with placement of an implant without any other changes to the breast will only amplify your present anatomy. If you are unhappy with the position of your nipple position then the only way to correct that would be with a breast lift to help re-center the breast mound over your chest wall. From your photo, I note that your breasts are relatively symmetric, relatively small, the distance from the top of your breast bone to nipples is increased, you have lost superior breast pole volume, and you demonstrate minimal sag. I cannot comment upon nipple placement as they are obscured in the photo.
A breast augmentation will provide larger breasts of the same shape, while a lift will elevate the nipple areolar complexes into anatomic position, remove excess skin, fill out the superior breast poles, and conify the shape of the breasts.
You will want an implant with the same base diameter as your breast diameter...too narrow, no cleavage...too wide, exaggerated cleavage and "lateral boob". The choice of size is up to you. Some practices utilize computer simulation to estimate an appropriate size. Some will have you "try on" different implant sizers. One can pour different amounts of rice from a measuring cup into a baggie and trying it on for size.
Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion. Your surgeon will guide you through the process.
