Is it normal to feel weird sensations in breasts three days after surgery? (photos)

Hang in there! Strange sensations after surgery are to be expected. As long as the shape and feel are improving week to week, however slowly, there is still hope for the final outcome. Ask you plastic surgeon if there are any compression garments, stretches or massaging exercises that can help speed your recovery.

To answer this question, the dressing should be removed, exam done and discussion of these concerns with your MD or his clinical staff.

Strange sensations are normal postoperative complaints and usually involve the nipple. More sensations are either numbness or tingling or an overly sensitive nipple. Would recommend revisiting with your plastic surgeon to assure everything is ok. 

Strange sensations are commonplace after breast surgery. They usually resolved inside of a few weeks or so. I would suggest that you address this with your personal PS during follow up. Good luck and be well.

After breast augmentation sensibility is often affected temporarily. With postoperative swelling sensations are often described as throbbing and swollen. The descriptions of the sensations that fit within anticipated results range from stinging, throbbing, burning, shooting, etc. The good news is that this initial pain and discomfort should resolve significantly in the first 1-2 weeks and changes in nipple sensitivity are usually resolved by 4-6 months postoperatively. I would recommend you speak with your plastic surgeon and have them follow along with you regarding your postoperative course.

Yes. It is normal to feel such
sensations within the first week after surgery. You don’t have to worry because
these sensations will disappear soon. But still, it is advised to discuss
everything you feel about your surgery with your surgeon.

After surgery there are many sensations described by different patients.  Your feelings will subside to normal after 2 or 3 weeks but complete lack of sensory changes may take months.   This is normal,  My Best,  Dr C
