EXPERIENCE AND RECOVERY Today is the day! Everything happened really fast. I mentally prepared myself to just stay as calm as possible and not get anxious. I did my tests, was asked a few questions about prior surgeries, allergies, medical history etc. and the anesthesiologist talked to me about what the expect. She said I will be under General Anesthesia and one thing I must note here is that I have had horrible experiences with GA. I always, ALWAYS throw up after waking up! I have had 2 prior surgeries where this has happened, and I communicated it to my GA and she said she'll be putting anti-nausea medication within the IV. My surgeon then drew measurements around my breasts and explained which sizers he was going to put. I basically just put all my trust in him because we didn't discuss this in depth. I only explained to him what I wanted and tried on the sizers on my consultation day. Anyway, I lay down in the operating room and the next thing I know, I was knocked out. The only pain I felt was the inserting of the IV needle. The surgery started at 10am and was woken up at around 1:30pm. Upon waking up, I still felt disoriented and everything was blurry. Despite that, I didn't throw up. Which was a relief. I was able to go home after resting for an hour in the operating room. I was feeling great! It just felt like I napped. The anesthesia still hasn't worn off so I wasn't feeling any pain. This was from 1:30pm until 4pm. I was able to eat quite a lot. By 5pm, I felt everything. I was in so much abdominal pain! I think I might've eaten too much because from 5pm until 1am, I was throwing up so much! Maybe more than 10x. It suuuucked. I felt like I needed to vomit everytime I stood up and moved. My surgeon thinks it could he related to hyperacidity. Which might be right. That was the worst part of this recovery for me. It hurt even more than the boob sore and incisions. Learned to take it easy--the hard way lol. I napped thereafter and kept waking up cause I either had to be and my back hurt from sleeping in a sitting position. Tbh the back pain hurt more than my boobs. LOL BOOB CONDITION My incisions are placed on my underarm (transaxillary) because I didn't want any visible stitches around my boobs. My incisions are still looking scary. I have bruising on both underarm. I just cleaned them a bit and dried them. I didn't put the gauze back and just let them dry. My boobs still look boxy and are very sore! But nothing worrying. Just letting it heal. Gotta be patient :) I'll keep updating in the coming days. Pain level: boobs (6/10) Discomfort: soreness in the boobs and incision site, nausea & vomiting, can't move arm upward, can't reach anything backwards, can't carry anything moderately heavy, very limited arm movement, hard to get up after sitting down/reclining, kept waking up in the middle of the night multiple times, easily tired Updated on 20 Jan 2021: Jan 17, Sunday (Day 1 post op) No more nausea and vomiting Started feeling more pain but manageable. I noticed some rippling on the right side of my breasts by the cleavage. Not sure what it is but I'll see if it gets better over the coming days. Jan 18, Monday (Day 2) Couldn’t get up. Uncomfortable sleep Was able to shower by myself today. Woke up in the middle of the night in pain (Tuesday but technically I’m counting it as happening on a Monday). Felt like being stabbed from the inside. I’d describe it as a sharp, shooting pain on the right side. Had to wake my boyfriend up to adjust my compression bandage. New feeling, almost wanted to cry but didn’t. Fell asleep afterwards. Feelin low for some reason. Comes n goes Jan 19, Tuesday (Day 3) Less pain but more lethargy. Boobs are still high up. Still having trouble sleeping as i keep waking up. Hopefully I get to sleep better in the coming days! Jan 20, Wednesday (Day 4) No more pain. I also stopped taking painkillers. Inserting pics I took today for documentation. Will keep updating over the coming days :) still waiting for them to soften and drop, and for the dent on my cleavage to be gone. Hopefully the contours of my breasts look better too! I can't fully stretch my arms up yet but it's easier now to take a shower. The only thing I'm having difficulty right now is getting out of bed by myself, pushing, pulling, and opening water bottles lol. I can basically do everything else without assistance, but still much slower and with less force Updated on 24 Jan 2021: Smooth recovery so far! They seem to be dropping little by little. They’re a biiiit softer now but still high and hard. I’m just happy about the small changes I see day by day. Pain-wise there’s no more pain at all. Maybe only sore boobs in the morning, but not painful—just feels weird but it subsides after 5 minutes upon waking up and sitting down. I can also raise my arms up now and extend them to the side and my back. Wearing clothes has been a lot easier! I can still feel my muscles being stretched when I do so but little improvements :) Slowly feeling like myself again so I’m happy Will update again after a week! Updated on 24 Jan 2021: Updated on 2 Feb 2021: I’m officially back to my normal grind! 0 pain, can sleep on my sides (not stomach tho lol), can lift some stuff now (just not heavier than 10lbs haha), can reach my back, stretch my arms, do light leg workout— everything! It’s like I didn’t have BA haha and no more morning boobs! I started massaging them (i started on the 2nd week) with a technique taught by my surgeon. I try doing it at least 3x a day, 1 min each massage. They are starting to drop and get a littttleeee bit softer each passing day. My left one is still higher than my right but my surgeon told me this is normal as I’m still healing. We’ll see in the coming weeks how they settle! :) Updated on 7 Apr 2021: Time flies! I’m only a week away from hitting the 3 month mark of my new boobies! LOL. Here are some pics. They haven’t dropped fully yet!
Dr. Morrison is a phenomenal surgeon. I had my breast reduction 14 years ago and I still speak so highly of my experience and the results. I had gone too many surgeons prior to being referred to Dr. Morrison by a colleague. From the first visit he was accommodating and very upfront about the procedure and his plans. He spoke frankly to me about lifestyle changes I needed to make (quit smoking) and we made a plan. I had more questions after the first visit and he was available to answer by phone and email. He even went out of his way and setup an appointment with so he could meet my mother who lived aboard to put her at ease about the surgery. My surgery and recovery went well and even the small in office procedures where done in such a professional way. I have NO visible scars and no dog ears. Dr. Morrison told me exactly what I needed to do and I did. The results are amazing. I have recently lost a significant amount of weight and have some extra skin in places. He is THE ONLY PLASTIC SURGEON I would even consider. Thank you Dr. Morrison! You are fantastic!
Dr. Morrison did a great job doing my breast reconstruction. I can honestly say that had it been another doctor, the results would have not been the same. He is an amazing plastic surgeon and treats his patients with love and care. I would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking the same treatment.
Most of the reviews I have read are from two or more years ago. A time when Dr. Morrison’s bedside manner had been better than my experience. I am only a week and two into my post tummy tuck, so I can’t speak on how the outcome is or will be. I am however able to speak about the treatment Or lack there of, I have endured. For starters, I was scheduled to have my surgery a week prior to me actually having it, I went to the hospital only to find out my surgery had not been scheduled and NOONE had any answers and the good Doctor was not in. Three days later I get a new date and the reason why my surgery was postponed. It was the good doctor,s birthday and he decided to take the day off. Going into surgery, Dr. Morrison made me feel comfortable, but during my first appointment after, he was in a rush, changed my bandages , told not to shower (this advice I did not listen to) and the visit ended. Fast forward to day ten after my surgery and I don’t have a clue as to what I M supposed to do. My band is super tight, I am swollen and can not contact anyone because it’s a holiday weekend. W am relying on YouTube videos to get me through this recovery. I do hope the outcome is much better than the lack of information I did not receive.
I have been wanting a breast reduction for years now. I finally found the surgeon I wanted...Dr. Morrison. He is fantastic and he really listens to you and answers all surgery related questions. I felt at ease with him from day one and I knew he would be the surgeon to give me excellent results. My surgery was yesterday after waiting for approval from my health insurance plan which took a little over a month so it was not a long wait at all. I'm home resting now with minimal pain and although I didn't remove the bandages I took a little peek and I love what I'm seeing so far. I went from a 34G to a 34 D. My back and neck feel better already. I feel light as a feather and I'm excitied to see the final results. I don't have any before pics but I will tell you that my breasts hung down very low with nippkes pointing down and my aereolas were large. My back constantly hurt and this procedure has changed my life. Thank you Dr. Morrison and staff you are truly wonderful and gifted. And oh...the added liposuction to give the breasts that nice shape was a bonus....I'm happy!
Dr. Morrison is a Master in plastic surgery, with hands gifted from God. The outcome of my procedure far outweighed my expectation. He performed magic. Dr. Morrison allowed me to once again love my body. Dr. Morrison was professional, caring and honest from my very first visit. He really cares about his patients. I recommend all those that are thinking of plastic surgery, do not go to Dominican Republic, Miami, or Atlanta, but make your way over to Morrison Plastic Surgery. You will not regret it. Thanks again Dr. Morrison.
Yesterday was my Mini tummy t. And muscle repair. I m so excited I cannot wait for the outcome because doc Morrison is amazing on his field and everyone is talking nice about his work. Today is my second day. And I m feeling great. Yeah in a little pain but moving around . The Hospital at saint lawrence everyone is so friendly and very professional. I slept on a reclining chair semmi seating. I weak up like 4 time by my self with very careful slowly ladies . My right side was leaking a lot like every 2 hour I needed to empty which I called it" my bolls" . It is very scary but doctor explain me that it is good and normal to leak more from your right side than your left side. To be honest with you I was expecting to be like sombi today but nope I m moving. I m able to pee litte by litte but so far I haven't do #2 yet.!! Lest see what happen. I m eating a like fibers , fruits whole wheat to avoid constipation. I was very skinny but my two babies were 9 pounds both of then and they really stretch my skin from my belly and I wasn't feeling confident when I bend. In conclusion. The experience of my mini TT and muscle repairs is going pretty much like normal. I was so nervous yesterday when they were about to put my anesthesia but I told him not to tell me anything when he was about to put the anesthesia. "Just do it " and the next thing I know i was at the recovery room with my corsets already in my body. Updated on 7 Aug 2016: Feeling more with energy but still on pain . It is like burning feeling for moments. I try to suffer as most I can with the pain in order to avoid constipation from the pain killer . I m do happy the fibers , mango and whole wheat diet finally made it to #2 yesss!!! I noticed that the more you walk you feel more pain . But the doctor want you to walk a little bit but I'm not Killing my self walking. I read too many reviews that I took everybody advise. Thanks God this wedsite exist because otherwise I will be wondering if this is normal .. like the leaking pain etc.. I m just a little concerned because I forgot to take the right dosis of my antibiotics . But I call doctor morrison and he said it should be okay. On the name of Jesus everything should be right ladies !! Hold on there the pain is just temporary but the results will be permanent. That my motivation. Updated on 11 Aug 2016: Well Ladies , all these days I have experiance different things . But today I was able to walk and continue standing for 1 hour . Before on day 4 and 5 I was only moving around like 15 minutes and then I was super tired than I needed to sleep. I was to tell you my bigger complains MY Back Pain is killing me every day Dios mios!!!!!! Today got a little better because I m walking a little more straight finally right ! I used to walk like a old lady. Yesterday, day 5 I experienced something crazy I though I was going to stop breathing Lord. I Just Put The Zipper Down Of My garment or faja like 1/2 of my body so I can take a picture. And then OMG 5 minutes I was having short breath I couldn't breath well . So I put back and zipper again . But what Tha hek*# why is that ? After that I feel like that for a couple hour. ! The second thing that I m concerned is my drains. The right side is still coming up liquids (but they look like blood to me) and tomorrow is my first doc visit after cirjury. And I have a feeling that he will not removed it Jesus!! Also the smell of those liquids is getting a little weird smell. I got to do my research about that. Anyway ladies don't panic keep up on your mom makeover 's project. And please i try to cough and it was like nife on my muscle. I run to got some water !! .Lastly, the brusses are also intense and the soreness and swelling . These are only my experiences that I been having on these couple days. My intention is not to scare you or change your mine .it is for you guys to be aware because sometimes doctor don't tell you the whole part of the story and according to most of them you can work (well is you work in a office sitting ) after 1 week but you body will tell you the truth. ! Have a nice day everyone ! Updated on 20 Aug 2016: It has been a long journey ladies oh Lod I cannot see the end of this tunnel. Today is 2 weeks and could you believe I still have those annoying drains.......! I have a lot fluids I m scheduled to taking out hopefully Tuesday. But I was supposed to go back to work Monday after my two weeks off but that is not going to happen. Have a plan B ladies because doctors say "2 weeks you will be able to go back to work "" BS because every body heal different and you don't know until you face the reality with your own healing journey. I had bad circulation on my right leg and difficulty breathing for almost 2 days that I end on ER which they were worry that it could be a blood cot ans thanks God after all test scan it came up negative. Today I m feeling like a normal person, still ypu cannot bend or run , carry heavy or run for a marathon. So I'm taking my time and not to kill my self. I bought a new Colombia faja and let me tell you those are the best cause it tight and shape your body like a Barbe. As you see at the pictures. I m still swelling but it takes time to go down. The one that I had after the hospital it was a joke cause it was getting very loose and I started to feel that did not protect my incision. I also using a colombia technique that make your belly flax. It is call abdominal board and it's very safe to used cause it s cover very properly and very comfortable. After I start using this my belly and muscle has go down dramatic. Again this Spanish Colombian technique if you haven't heard don't use it . But it work on colombias' ladies and you had see their bodies right ? Here is the link on youtube https://youtu.be/frHNQ7nt9NM Until my next posting happy healing everyone. Updated on 1 Sep 2016: Hello ladies I hope you all are having a happy healing. Lest get to the points 1. My drains!!!! were taking off after 2 weeks and 4 Days!!! I was going to get depress I couldn't take it anymore. 2. Pain. I don't get it why it that most people complains about pain and they need pain killer No Me ! Yeah you will fell pain the most the first 3 days and day 4 and 5 just a little be. What is very true is that when you week up in the morning its is very uncomfortable and I feel like someone bit me. Overall , I m feeling great , the only thing is that I m still swelling from lower belly side and you will see it on my side pictures I look swelling a lot but it has come down a lot as well I asked the doctor when it will go down he said it take time ( hopefully before Christmas right ? ). So take a look the pictures and be my judge. Updated on 11 Nov 2016: Well is been a long journey. The swelling process is taking forever to get down . I still convenced that we cannot will not look super flat but for sure we will look better . The scar is healing nicely and little by little will fade . I will try to buy more embrace which I think is the best that is out there at the market. Be safe ladies and I wish all a healthy healing. Updated on 11 Nov 2016:

The fit is very curvy .
I've spent many years trying different diets and workout regimens, used products to target my tummy and even stopped eating meat but never saw the results I was looking for. I spoke with a coworker that went out of the country to get a tummy tuck and she had nothing but positive feedback about her experience. I then made up my mind that I was going to go for it. I was going to take control of my confidence non get rid of the belly!! The more I talked about what I wanted to do the more info I received and I luckily got a referral from another coworker who had nothing but praises for Dr. Morrison and his exceptional work.

I hope to over come the fear that's holding me back, bc I am not happy with this belly or myself for not having the strength to go forward with the surgery before. Updated on 4 Nov 2016: Has anyone recently had done a tummy tuck at New York EYE and EAR Hospital? Updated on 15 Nov 2016: Went yesterday to see if I can get new date and Dr. Morrison said no, I wasn't mentally ready the dates that I had scheduled with him before....it's cool I understand...he should at least sit with his patients and talk to them to see what's going on and to try and help them...however he is extremely rude with his patients at Harlem hospital.and I'm not the only one that has said this ..he has zero bedside manners...I wonder if he treats his patients at his private practice rudely???? Anyway, I have a new consultation with Dr. Ryan Engdahl. Looking forward to meeting him, I feel that I am mentally prepared to now go forward .
At 7 weeks after surgery and especially after a hematoma, it too early to consider e breast revision especially for a size difference. Be patient I would ask that you continue to see your surgeon and wait for at least 4-6 months before you consider revision surgery.Morrison MD
For safety and a good result if you desire body contouring surgery weight loss to be near a BMI of 30. At your current weight surgery alone is not an answer.
Hi CWIL19, based on the photograph of you current body habitus and your goal photograph, liposuction alone is not the entire answer. You will have some skin excess that will need removal, and then you have to change your dietary habits and start an aggressive exercise program, if the second photo is your goal. Good Luck .
Hello , based on the photos that you have provided you had an excellent result, and a revision abdominoplasty is not required. But go back to your surgeon and tell him your concerns, and get his opinion after his examination.
Hello, usually a DDD cup should be able to qualify for a reduction. I would encourage your however to get other opinions from other board qualified plastic surgeons in your area, they will educate you in your options, and the benefits and risks that are associated. good luck.
