Is it possible to rebuild the nasal bridge and restore my dorsal hump? (photos)

Question

In my primary rhinoplasty the doctor shortened my nose, shaved my bridge and narrowed it. My nose looks curved even though I wanted a straight nose which I already had, only a few minor things needed to be fixed from an accident. Is is possible to rebuild the bridge and widen the bone that was narrowed and restore my dorsal hump (if possible)?

Yes, this would require a cartilage onlay graft to the dorsum with cartilage from you (preferably rib cartilage) or an allograft cartilage graft cadaver.

Hello and thank you for your question. A dorsal onlay graft can be placed in order to build the dorsum. I always use diced cartilage wrapped in facia for this.   In many patients, this can be combined with nasal tip deprojection for a more natural appearance.  I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
