Question about mole changes. Should I worry? (Photos)

If the mole you are referring to is changing you should get it evaluated.  I remove many moles for cosmetic enhancement and this can be removed and at the same time be checked by a pathologist to see if there are any things to be concerned about.  Below is a link to a photo gallery from my website with examples of similar moles.

Since there have been changes, I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Moles can be removed with laser, radiowave or shave. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for posting your question. It is hard to tell from photos alone whether your moles are benign or dangerous. Since it is growing and causing discomfort, I recommend having it removed and biopsied. The removal procedure does not take long and the wound usually heals within 1-2 weeks. I recommend scheduling an in-person appointment with an experienced physician. Best of luck.

Any new or changing mole should be evaluated by a physician to ensure it is not abnormal or skin cancer. All the best. 

Thank you for your question. It is possible that rubbing the mole may have caused it to become tender. Try not to touch it for a few days and see if it settles. If not do see your doctor. It is good to seek medical advice if there is  any change in mole size, colour or texture.
