Dear rkself It is hard to render a guess without any other information but you likely have a tip graft and a strut. Sometimes a bony graft from the septum is used as the strut and that can remain hard. You dont need to do anything unless you are having a problem.
Thank you for your question. Its impossible to know the exact reason without more surgical information because there are several potential causes of the tip feeling more stiff than prior to surgery. This includes grafts, and suture techniques. When the tip is re-positioned during surgery, usually it will heal more predictably in the current position if it is stabilized. This usually leads to the tip feeling more rigid. The added benefit is that over time, as you age, it should resist the droop that happens to many people. Unless you have a specific problem with it feeling firm, there is nothing that needs to be done as it generally does not cause problems. All the best!
The firm feeling that you may have after a rhinoplasty depends on what was actually done. Many times in rhinoplasty surgery, cartilage grafts are placed in order to support the existing structure of the nose. This leads to the nose having an unnaturally stiff feeling. We often sacrifice the way the nose feels with the way the nose actually appears, as the most common cause of dissatisfaction is the visual result. Have your surgeon examine you and he or she will be able to reassure your fears. Good luck!

Thanks for your question. Some features of the face and body that seem prominent to a patient might not be obvious to others. Changes to the nose as a result of rhinoplasty are often subtle but can soften the appearance of the face in a positive way. While the changes you seek may not be obvious...
Swelling is just beginning to resolve at this point. You also appear to have had more than just a rhinoplasty performed. Your swelling is on the more severe end for this point following surgery but that is not typically something to worry about. Everyone heals differently. The bottom line is...
