Can lip fillers cause you to get cheilitis?

I noticed that my lips are very dry, cracked and flaky ever since getting my lips filled with Juvaderm. Is this normal? What can I do to reverse this? Thank you in advance.

I'm sorry you're experiencing this. Firm massage may help. Otherwise, you can have the lumps dissolved with hyaluronidase. Hope this helps.

Hello and thank you for your question.  With any injection, there will be some degree of swelling, bruising and tenderness that can last up to 2 weeks (depending on the severity).  Intermittent icing, taking Arnica, and avoiding massage can help in your healing time. Best of luck!

Yes, this amount of swelling isn't typical. I recommend continuing with the antihistamines and checking in with your injector. Hope this helps.

The lips are very sensitive and they usually swell up after lip filler injection. Some patients won't let you inject the full syringe because they feel like it is too big and they regret it later.Yes the size of your lip will go down in the next few days, but you can always get more. Best wi...

Both products can yield a nice lip result if injected properly, but I will say, Ultra Plus does tend to cause a more firm lip (versus a soft, natural lip with Ultra) and has more potential to have lumps/ bumps once settled. You will probably gain 2-3 months of longevity compared to Ultra.
