Hello and Great Question. I appreciate the time you are spending researching this procedure. My name is Dr. Matthew J. Nykiel. I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, a Fellowship Trained Cosmetic Surgeon, and a Butt Augmentation Specialist. Most surgeons do lab work prior to your procedure, and require you to maintain certain levels before operation on you. I would suggest speaking to your surgeon prior to determine what to take and what not to take , for every surgeon has their own protocol. I would definitely recommend doing an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure and who can suggest what is needed. I hope that helps! Best of Luck! Matthew J. Nykiel MD
Most surgeons will do some blood work prior to surgery, but some surgeons do not. It is always best to ask these questions of your chosen surgeon as recommendations may be different. The surgeon you select should know everything about your past medical and surgical history and be able to make a determination about what labs should be ordered, the need for EKG, the need for medical clearance, the need for anticoagulation, the appropriateness of the surgical intervention based upon the risk factors and current physique, etc.My patients STOP ALLsources of Vitamin E, e.g., Vitamin E pills, multivitamins, Slim Fast EnsurePlus, ALL HERBS, e.g. Ginko, Garlic, Ginseng, Natural or health preparationse.g. bee’s pollen, protein powders, etc. 1 week before surgery.
Dear valre, some plastic surgeons recommend their patients to stop using all herbal products and medicines prior to surgery. But every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD
Hi and welcome to our forum!Hema-plex is an iron supplement and is used to treat anemia. If you are not anemic, it is a waste of money. Be sure to inform your plastic surgeon of all medications you are taking, even if over the counter. Preoperative blood testing will reveal anemia, if present.Best wishes...
You'll want to have your labs reviewed by your plastic surgeon and primary care physician to see if you have an iron deficiency. But this can usually be solved with ordinary iron supplements or a diet adjustment. If you are a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), the optimal outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully,Arian Mowlavi MD,FACSRealself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
Iron supplementation is recommended for anemic patients who are iron deficient. Most american plastic surgeons don’t make a big point of giving iron or checking to many lab values before elective procedures on young healthy patients. Obviously preoperative laboratory values should be checked when indicated and if possible anemia should be addressed before any surgical procedure that may involve significant blood loss. excessive labs and taking iron before surgery as routine seems more involved with practices in certain other countries.I do not recommend traveling for elective surgical procedures.patients do not often appreciate the importance of in person consultations, the need for follow up, realize the complications actually do happen as well as the number of patients who need revision surgery. Having endometriosis should not impact your candidacy for elective plastic surgery procedures. Your surgeon should do a thorough evaluation and history and physical to look for anything that may increase your risk of having a complication.
There are many possible causes of pulsatile tinnitus, but they all stem from circulation issues. Did your PCP refer you to a cardiologist for an exam and screenings for possible circulation problems? Your board certified plastic surgeon will likely request clearance from the specialist who is ...
Hi Rational It depends on the texture of your butt before surgery. If it is squishy before surgery then it generally becomes firmer after surgery. Regards Damien
