From day one my right breast has seemed smaller. I am 9 weeks post op, is this big of a difference normal? Durning my consult I was told that my breasts were very symmetrical and 390cc implants were chosen for both.
Answer: 2 months post op, some advices: Thanks for the question. In my practice, after performing a BA I recommend to my patients to limit the movement of the arms for two weeks. After that, you can move your arms taking care and always with common sense. In this regard, it's not advisable to carry heavy weights to prevent the implant out of position, and allow the formation of the physiological capsule around the implant, also to avoid pain and breast swelling.Kind regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol.-

Answer: Breast asymmetry There is a very noticeable difference. Your size now is a result of where you started and what was added. If the same size implants were used on both sides then your surgeon underestimated your preoperative asymmetry. I don't think that you will have more reasonable symmetry unless a larger implant is placed in your smaller breast or a smaller implant is used on your larger breast. You should discuss this with your surgeon. Most surgeons would make you wait until at least 3 months after surgery to be sure that there is no remaining swelling effecting your results.

Answer: Post op breast asymmetry Therror does seem to be some difference in size between the right and left breast. This can be the result of swelling but at 9 weeks post op most swelling should have resolved. It would be important to look at your pre-op pictures to compare, because often times there is some degree of breast asymmetry at baseline that was not appreciated that may well explain the differencesituation you see currently. You should certainly follow up with your surgeon.

Answer: One breast is much larger than the other? Thank you for your question. Yes I agree one breast is noticeably larger than other in the picture. Pre op pictures will help for comparison. They will continue to change in the coming several weeks. Please express your concerns to your PS and ask for evaluation

Answer: Breast Difference Based on viewing your pictures, there is a noticeable size difference in your breasts. It is hard to say without seeing a pre augmentation photo. I would advise you to do a follow up examination with your plastic surgeon to discuss.
