I am 5.5 weeks post op from transaxillary submuscular breast augmentation. I developed mondors cord at 1 week post op in armpit, cords seem to be worse and the clotted veins run down my arm to my wrist. My PS says use warm compress and nsaids to help.I am unable to extend my elbow out and am concerned of getting a contracture. Do these clotted veins affect the perfusion to tissues in my left arm?do I need to worry about a contracture developing due to immobility? Will a venous ultrasound help?
