Do gummy bear implants soften up? 1.5 years post op, under the muscle, they still feel hard. (photos)

Hello, I have gummy bear implants placed under the muscle. I have had them for a year and a half, the still feel hard. Not rock hard. No pain. Just very firm. Do they ever soften up?

Thanks for your inquiry, after 1 year, I do not think your implants will soften. The higher the cohesive the gel is the stiffer it will feel.

It's normal for gummy bear implants to feel firmer than silicone gel implants, although it's possible that scar tissue around the implants is making them feel firmer than usual. You might want to check back in with your surgeon to be evaluated for possible capsular contracture just to be sure. Best of luck to you.

No, gummy bear implants do not soften up and do feel harder than other gel implants. I would suggest, however, going back to your surgeon to be checked for a capsular contraction.

You have already the final healing after surgery. By self no, they are not going to soften. With a doctor you can make a valuation to decide if your capsule is the normal or if maybe you have contracture.

After a year and a half its unlikely that the implants will soften. If you like the look, have no pain then you are okay medically. If there are any doubts then please see your plastic surgeon

Thank you for your question.  I would expect that breast implants will reach their maximum softness by 2 years.  Textured implants do feel a little more firm and smooth walled implants In addition you have very large implants and may simply not have enough skin laxity to make room for them.  Your result looks very good.
