Will my breasts sag if I breastfeed with Implants?

Thanks for your question. Pregnancy and breastfeeding certainly can impact breast size and shape after breast augmentation. Ultimate tissue settling, however, is unpredictable. Some women have dramatic changes, others very little at all.

Thank you for your question.  The answer to this depends on several factors: size of the breast, how much the breast swells during breast feeding as well as your tissue genetics.  There is really no way to predict this.  Using bras for support of the breast can potentially help.

It is safe to breastfeed if you choose to do so, but there is no way to predict how this is going to influence your aesthetic outcome. Every woman is different. It's a great question, but unfortunately it's impossible to determine whether breast-feeding will cause sagging. If you decide to breast-feed it's safe to do so with a saline or silicone implant in place. Breast-feeding will cause your breasts to enlarge and they'll stay enlarged throughout the process of feeding. Some women's breasts rebound with no sagging after this process. Some women do have sagging and desire a breast lift after feeding. It will take six months after you stop feeding for your breasts to change fully and at this point you'll be able to see whether you desire a breast lift surgery.

Thank you for your question. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Breasts will change both with pregnancy and breast feeding. The amount of sagging unfortunately cannot be predicted. Even if you don't breast feed, the breast size will increase with pregnancy and will go down after childbirth.  Some lucky ones have minimal changes after every thing is said and done! I would weigh the risks/benefits of breast feeding to your baby vs the possibility of needing a lift after the pregnancy. These are definitely good things to be thinking about and planning for! It is about what works for you and your baby.

as its in the best interests of your future child.  Anything that may occur from this can always be 'fixed' down the road.  Focus on your priorities and your newborn should clearly be your priority.  In addition to having a healthier child, the money you will save can be put towards whatever is needed after you are done with childbearing.  Hope its a great experience for you.

With pregnancy breasts gain size and during breastfeeding the size continuous to grow, does not matter if you breast feed or not the breast when having a baby will suffer the natural consequences of getting big and then small again, meaning some loose skin will be present afterwards, so it will be unfair to say that if you breastfeed you will have more sagging. One thing that you do have to know is that you need extra support while your breasts are big and full since more downwards gravity force will be present and also while breastfeeding prevent positions where your breast are being pulled down to prevent sagging.

Hi, thanks for posting your question. Pregnancy affects the breasts, and breastfeeding does too. Hormone levels change and cause the breasts to get larger, and breastfeeding typically prolongs this change. Once the breast tissue shrinks down again, some people have a great recovery from this with little sagging, others are not so lucky and have quite a bit of sagging after pregnancy with or without breastfeeding. Do what you think is best for the health of your baby and you, just know that a breast lift may be needed. As a side note, it is perfectly safe to breast feed with silicone or saline implants in place.

Thank you for your question.  Breast-feeding will not cause your breast to sag over your implants.  Significant sagging after pregnancy in patients who have breast implants is very unusual in my experience.  Sagging is based on the increase in size of your breast during pregnancy.  This is usually related to the weight gain during pregnancy and in my experience significant sagging only occurs in patients who gained a great deal of weight, usually over 60 or 70 pounds.  It is the enlargement of the breast during pregnancy that is the issue, not breast-feeding.
