Pain/Soreness/"morning boob" 8 weeks post-op, is this just muscle pain? (Photos)

Question

I got textured, anatomically shaped, 375cc implants, 8wks ago. extremely developed pec muscles. RT medial aspect of rt breast incision opened up a little at 5wks. I showered, washed off the pus, treated it w/alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, some bacitracin ointment.. no redness on the breast or any other signs. No fevers. (Pain and soreness are mostly on lateral aspect of rt breast and top by the armpit. But when I wake up & go to sit up, I still feel that morning boob ache). Just muscle pain still?

Though the pictures look suggestive of a good result and postoperative pain can last for quite a while, an exam would be the most appropriate thing.

I appreciate your question.
I would recommend that you discuss this question with your surgeon so he/she can examine you and recommend the most appropriate treatment plan at this time.  Every surgeon has their own respective post op protocol for his/her patients.  Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how you are healing at this time.  
The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.

Pain and swelling are normal manifestations of healing after surgery. Based on the photo, you seem to be healing well and full recovery may take up to 6 months. Swelling and pain will continue to subside as you heal. Follow up with your surgeon and discuss your concerns with him. If the pain is not tolerable anymore, then ask your surgeon for any pain medication he could advise.

Thanks for the great question. Some women experience soreness for a few months after surgery. Based on your photos, everything seems to be healing up nicely. The soreness should continue to improve with time. If you suddenly have an increase in pain, then you might want to see your surgeon to make sure everything looks ok. Congratulations on your breast augmentation.  Based on your photo your result looks excellent.  By 8 weeks I would expect most of the discomfort to have resolved.  I think it is important that she see your surgeon for an examination and explanation of your discomfort.  I would not rely on Internet advice by surgeons have not examined you.
