I was pressured to go larger than my frame would support. My fold was lowered. It gets worse by the day, as the implants drop. I brought concerns to my PS who called me an idiot and was rude. I am so depressed and embarrassed about their size I don’t leave the house and won’t go home for the holidays. I want them out. They’re starting to cause severe stretch marks. Please help. How soon can they be removed? Should I find a new surgeon? Mine is very rude and prideful.

Answer: Explant Good morning!Sometimes it's just feels wrong- if you're not happy then certainly you can take them out now. In fact the earlier you remove them the faster and better the skin can shrink back down to the size and shape you were preop. In terms of finding a new surgeon, it sounds your PS didn't leave you in a good situation. If they are willing to remove your implants then it will certainly save you money, but on the other hand the relationship may be past that point and your best option may be to choose a new surgeon, hopefully one with a little more compassion.

Answer: Implant removal Dear EMAJS,if you aren't satisfied with your breast implants, there is no reason not to get them out or exchange for smaller. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. You will get the best recommendations after a thorough examination.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
