How soon can I take implants out? (Photos)

You may have the implants removed at any time; you may want to consider exchanging them for smaller ones.  No one can truly predict how your breasts will look after removal as each soft tissue envelope will respond differently, but you may do well with just removal. The smaller the implant and the less the amount of time it has been since placement, the greater the chance to return to the preoperative state.  The implants can be removed through the same incision if you would like.  Fat grafting to the breasts may be appropriate to help restore volume and recreate the appearance of breast fullness.

Good morning!Sometimes it's just feels wrong- if you're not happy then certainly you can take them out now. In fact the earlier you remove them the faster and better the skin can shrink back down to the size and shape you were preop. In terms of finding a new surgeon, it sounds your PS didn't leave you in a good situation. If they are willing to remove your implants then it will certainly save you money, but on the other hand the relationship may be past that point and your best option may be to choose a new surgeon, hopefully one with a little more compassion.

I can see why you are unhappy with the results of your surgery, the implants do appear to be too large for your anatomy. I would usually recommend you return to your surgeon and discuss the options as it is impossible to make a diagnosis and surgical decision based only on photographs, but it sounds like you do not have a good relationship with your surgeon. I would recommend finding another board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss your options for implant removal, or revision of your current result.

I am so sorry to hear of your circumstances.  You can have your implants removed whenever you wish.  You should have faith and confidence in your surgeon, so yes I would recommend searching for someone who instills those qualities.  You may consider exchanging your implants for a smaller size.

If you don't want your implants, you can have them removed whenever you wish.  You might also want to consider replacing your implants with smaller implants that fit your frame better.  If you are not comfortable with your present surgeon, consult with 2 or 3 other plastic surgeons to find someone you trust and who will go over surgical options with you.  Best wishes.

Hi and thanks for your question. I am so sorry that you have had this experience. Implants can come out at any time. However, make sure that’s what you want as there is no harm in seeing if you feel a little better with time. Have a conversation with your surgeon that you would like to have them removed or made smaller and give them the chance to fix it for you. If you remain uncertain as to his or her abilities and want them out, seek a consultation with another board certified plastic surgeon. Don’t feel embarrassed or ashamed it is ok to remove them but have a real conversation with the surgeon first. Good luck 

I am so sorry you have to experience that with your surgeon. To answer your question you can take them out now. You do not have to leave them in. It looks like you have what is called a double bubble of the right breast which is classic when a fold is lowered like that at your initial surgery. I was not there, I do not know you or your surgeon, but I would suggest if you are being made to feel that way that you seek another surgeon. I would suggest you find a board certified surgeon by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. But, your job does not stop there. You mush then see what the opinion is of other patients and read their reviews. Even reviews can be doctored or solicited but google reviews are pretty hard to do that. Usually google reviews are pretty accurate. If you take then out then it will all heal up and then you liver to fight another day with the right surgeon for you. I am so sorry it had to be this way for you, but it is fixable. Best of luck.
