Breast implant removal and fat transfer - same time or separately?

Question

286cc round silicone dual plane. Had them for less than 6 months. No capsular contracture, just dislike the animation deformity and can’t live my active life. No lift required. No kids. If separately, how long apart?

As you haven't had your implants in very long you can probably consider doing the fat transfer at the same time as the explant.  Please be aware that fat transfer will not provide the same look or shape as implants.  You also want to be sure that you have adequate fat for harvesting to achieve the volume you desire.  I recommend speaking with your surgeon about your goals to ensure you understand what to expect.

I typically do fat transfer at the same time as removal.  I would recommend having your pectoralis major muscle repaired  at the time of removal as well as this deformity is unlikely to go away after implant removal.  If you decide to wait for fat transfer, I would recommend waiting 4-6 months for your tissue to heal and soften.  The amount of fat that can be transferred will depend of the size of your breasts and the amount of fat you have to donate to the cause.

The fat transfer could probably be done at the same time of the removal. You probably won't achieve the same volume with one transfer as you did with implants. I would suggest discussing this with your surgeon. You could also consider exchanging your implants for smaller implants, also.
