Who surgically treats Malar bags in or around Minnesota?

Question

I am a 43 year old woman with malar bags, one side more prominent then the other. I have no medical reason for them it is simply genetics in my case. I do sleep elevated. I have tried fillers (2 years ago) I have had a lower lid pinch, I had one full face laser treatment but special attention was paid to the bags. And while I have been very happy with any procedure I've had done thus far, these malar bags persist. Looking for someone in or a few states away from Minnesota if possible.

Dear Ms. Peepers,Festoons and Malar mounds are challenging conditions to treat. Some have used surgical skin flaps and surgical excision to make them better. I have found using lasers its possible to tighten the skin and improve  them effectively.I'll include a link below. I hope you find this helpful.

Thank you for your question and for providing several clear photos.  As you have experienced, malar bags can be a challenge to treat at times, and may require several treatments.  As with most procedures, the key is to remain as conservative as possible while producing results.  There are doctors across various specialties who are experienced in the treatment of malar bags, including plastic surgeons, oculoplastic surgeons, and dermatologists.    Look them up in your state and ask them if they are experienced in the treatment of malar bags.  Best wishes.

I am sorry to hear from her difficulty receiving treatment for your malar bags.  Malar bags or festoons are extremely difficult to correct.  And extension of a lower blepharoplasty incision out past the orbital rim with lifting of the inferior lateral orbicularis muscle, essentially a lateral eyelid lift can improve festoons.  However this is a very complex procedure which requires experience and scale on your surgeons part and you must be prepared to have a visible scar running out past the orbital rim towards the temporal area.
