It is normal to have redness after microneedling for a few days. This is due to inflammation and histamine release. For best results with microneedling combine with lasers like fraxel, aerolase,, Clear+Brilliant, C02, or Erbium to get improved collagen. We suggest all patients follow up with facials like Silk Peel Dermalinfusuion to hydrate, exfoliate and provide the skin with antioxidants. Sun protection is also essential. If it doesn't resolve in a few days, please consult your physician and get vascular laser treatments to decrease the redness and swelling -- excel V, v beam/pulsed dye laser, or yellow laser. LED therapy with lightstim right now would also help. Best, Dr. Emer
What you are experiencing is in the expected range following treatment. Each person reacts differently to microneedling depending on their skin type, the depth of treatment and how many passes were performed. The redness and warmth will gradually subside and the surface texture will continue to improve. We use PRP during treatment and the growth factors help to speed up the recovery time.
Microneedling is a controlled injury in the skin which helps create new collagen, improve scarring and even out skin tone and texture. Typically, microneedling is very well tolerated, however you can expect to experience redness, warmth and a micro-crust for several days after your treatment. It is important to follow you post care instructions, stay out of the sun and if you have additional concerns contact your treatment provider.
Thank you for your question. Its absolutely normal to feel warm for few hours and sometimes even 48 hours after the procedure . Its the normal inflammatory response after the procedure and that will give us the desired results of tissue regeneration in the next few days to weeks. Some people feel a gritty sensation or dryness and its absolutely normal occurrence and its good to use a good moisturizing cream or coconut oil to hydrate the skin. Drink lots of water to speed up the recovery process. You will love the final results of a healthy glowing skin in few days and a much tighter and firmer skin in few weeks.
Hello and thank you for your photo and question. No need to worry. Each person heals differently and using PRP during and after your treatment will speed up the healing process. What you are experiencing is expected. Follow your post care given by your provider and enjoy your microneedling results!
Everyone responds different to microneedling. There are several factors that come into play such as skin type, sensitivity, how deep did they go, how many passes did they do, what did you use post treatment. Most people experience redness for 1-3 days, rough sand paper like skin and maybe even a little swelling post microneeding. We use Growth factors to help speed up the healing process during and post treatment for 3 days. It will take about a week for the roughness to resolve. That skin will actually peel away. Try some cool compresses and a OTC Hydrcortisone cream 2 times a day for up to 1 week. Use a moisturizer and SPF to hydrate and protect the skin while it is healing. If it doesn't get better in a few days call the technician who did the treatment or see a Dermatologist.

Ronmore, I would always heed the post treatment advice of your physician. Post procedure, the skin can become very irritated if not tended to properly, causing undesirable side effects. Some products can contain scents, chemicals, etc which would impede the healing process. Depending on you...
