I just got microneedling done today. I put a vitamin C and E serum on before bedtime and it stung. Just now, I was reading that using vitamin C after microneedling can cause an unwanted inflammatory response. Did I just mess up my treatment? Thanks.

I would start with a series of microneedling treatments. I usually recommend 4-6 total treatment sessions having 1 session per month. After that you can maintain your results using Hydrafacial or microdermabrasion once every 1-2 months.
