4 days after microneedling on abdomen and I haven't peeled. Do I have to peel or is this normal?

So it’s been 4 days since I got microneedling done on my abdomen and I haven’t peeled. I’ve been moisturizing everyday and it itches a little. I also haven’t noticed any scabs or red little dots. My skin color is brown. I was wondering do I have to peel or is this normal?

Peeling can be variable. I recommend following up with your Doctor about after care and skin care recommendations. We suggest all patients follow up with facials like Silk Peel Dermalinfusuion to hydrate, exfoliate and provide the skin with antioxidants. Sun protection is also essential. I always combine microneedling with prp and lasers to get the best outcomes. We do treatments every 3-6 weeks. Best, Dr. Emer

Microneedling is usually well tolerated, some patients, though not all can experience mild redness, warmth, an itchy sensation and a micro crust over the treatment area which results in a sloughing or peeling affect three to seven days after treatment. Following post-op care is vital to the success of your treatment, avoid sun exposure on the treatment area and speak to your provider if you have additional questions.
