Everyone is different. While some patients experience swelling and bruising, most do not. There’s not really any downtime with CoolSculpting, but some people feel swollen and tender for a few weeks to months. Just let yourself heal and let your body do the work of excreting the dead fat cells over time. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist if you experience any issues.
Thank you for your question. Some patients swelling for 3-6 months after Coolsculpting. Most patients require a second treatment 2-3 months after the first to see better outcomes. For best results with Coolsculpting, a combination approach is needed. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. However, a Vaser liposuction/liposculpture with ThermiRF/J plasma/Renuvion/InMode Body Tite procedure maybe needed to give more contouring, fat removal, skin tightening and definition.
Not everyone gets bruising and swelling after their CoolSculpting treatment, you will need to wait several weeks though before you will see your results. Good luck.
Just because you don't have any marks in the area after coolsculpting, it doesn't mean you didn't get a great treatment. Most people don't get much swelling or bruising or even prolonged redness, so if things look normal, it's nothing to worry about. Most can tell the treatment occurred because of a little numbness or tenderness. If you are concerned, contact your provider.Andrew Campbell, M.D.Quintessa
It does not mean that your procedure was ineffective if you did not have any marks/swelling/bruising. Some experience those signs of inflammation, but others may not. Only time will tell how effective the treatment was and you typically will start noticing results as early as 4 weeks after, and maximum results by 3 months after the treatment. Hope that helps!
Hello and thank you for your question!! Bruising and swelling are only possible side effects we inform you about. Everyone responds differently. We expect to see results in 6-8 weeks. Hope this helps!Holly, RN
Just because you do not have any marks, swelling, bruising, or redness does not mean the treatment wasn't effective. Most people have some numbness or tenderness that can last up to a month post treatment. If you have questions regarding your treatment I would recommend contacting your provider.
This is the beauty of the Coolsculpting procedure. Coolsculpting is a nonsurgical, no downtime, return to normal activity post treatment type of procedure. You will begin to see results starting at 4 weeks and max results at 12 weeks post treatment. Have patience. Hope this helps.
Hello! Bruising and swelling are possible side effects of CoolSculpting but not everyone has them. At West Michigan Plastic Surgery we inform all our patients of the possible side effects at their consultation. This does not mean the treatment was ineffective. It takes at least two months but often three to four to see your final result but some patient start to see results within the first month. We hope you see several inches lost! Good luck!
No it is not bad that you do not have bruising or swelling after Coolsculpting. That is actually one of the bonuses of the treatment. At Monroe Comprehensive Laser Center in Monroe, Mi, we always counsel patients of the possibility of bruising or swelling, but we do not actually see it that often. I personally got Coolsculpting treatment and did not have any appreciable bruising or swelling and then proceeded to drop four pant sizes without losing any weight! Typically we advise patients that they can begin to see positive changes/fat loss in as soon as 4 weeks, but that the maximum results are usually seen in 12 weeks.
