Is CoolSculpting a good idea before pregnancy?

CoolSculpting is safe to do before pregnancy. Keep in mind that the treatment is for spot reduction of fat and not a weight loss solution. As you gain weight during your pregnancy, it is possible that you will regain fat in the treated area. Hello there.  First and foremost, Coolsculpting will not affect getting pregnant or staying pregnant.  It is not considered safe to perform during pregnancy however.  Let's look at what Coolsculpting does.  Coolsculpting permanently removes a percentage of fat cells in the desired area.  It cannot be considered a weight loss option.  Weight does not change significantly with Coolsculpting.

Coolsculpting is great for stubborn and distinct areas of fat on the abdomen or elsewhere but it is definitely not a weight loss solution. Even our patients that have had truly excellent results have had very little change in weight. Simply stated- fat is fluffy. Coolsculpting will have no effect on future pregnancies or your ability to become pregnant so if you'd like to improve the appearance of your tummy prior to pregnancy you can do so at any time without worry of adverse effects to your body.
