Had Dermaplaning yesterday. What is going on? (Photo)

Had dermaplaning with the Fire and Ice facial one day ago. Woke up to this. It burns and actually painful alittle. My face is so dry and I can't put anything on it due to burning and the area welts. What is going on and how can I resolve this quickly? It's the weekend so I have a couple days. But I have to work on Monday! Side note- my face was clear prior. Just a small amount of sun damage. Clear skin to this. I am mortified! Please help!

There is no treatment that reliably increases or decreases pore size, despite frequent claims to the contrary.  The inflammation from the minor procedures you have had will settle and your condition should improve soon. Probably best to avoid exfoliating agents during this process.

I don't recommend trying to improve this yourself. Hyperpigmentation can be improved with a combination of lasers, Aerolase, microneedling/prp, skin lightening, peels, and skin care. Sun protection is essential. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Dermabrasion will not remove hair follicles, it just shaves them at the skin surface along with dead skin cells to soften your skin and remove some surface blemishes.  If you would like the hair removed then laser hair removal would be your best bet! Hope this helps and good luck!
