Can a hysterectomy after breast implants cause anxiety, hypertension, weight gain, headaches, nausea or agitation?

Had breast implants 22 years ago and had a hysterectomy 6 years ago. I never experienced any of these health issues until immediately following my hysterectomy: Severe anxiety High blood pressure Unexplained weight gain Chronic headaches Nausea Easily frustrated/agitated Is there a correlation between the implants and hysterectomy to why I'm having these symptoms?

Based on the current literature, if your ovaries were removed this is likely correlated to a hormone issue. I recommend speaking with your OBGYN with your concerns.

Hello, thank you for your question. Have a hysterectomy can change your hormones completely. Usually this on its own can cause some of your symptoms. Breast implant from 22 years ago will not suddenly cause the symptoms you are experiencing. I would speak to your OBGYN and see what can be done to help.

Thanks for your question! It probably has more to do with your hormones or menopause following the hysterectomy than the implants themselves. I would suggest starting with your PCP or OBGYN to get some bloodwork done and go from there. Best of luck!

A probable cause for these symptoms are hormonal changes following your hysterectomy. It is unlikely that the implants are contributing to your condition. Discuss your concerns with your gynecologist.

All your symptoms might be related to the hysterectomy putting you into menopause. the implants would not have changed anything.  I would discuss your concerns with your Ob/gyn.

There is no known correlation between the symptoms you describe after your hysterectomy and implants.  It is best if you speak to your gynecologist or primary care physician about the new onset of symptoms. On a separate note, you mentioned that the implants are 22 years old.  You may wish to have your surgeon check their integrity due to their age.

I have not heard of a causal relationship between your prior surgeries and the significant
symptoms that you are now  experiencing.  There is every reason for you to seek medical help to diagnose the cause(s) and treatment of your problems.
Your treating plastic surgeon may have physician recommendations if your internal medicine doctor can not help you.

Your symptoms are consistent with menopause. The breast implants do not appear to play a role here.
It may be wise to consider a visit to your gynecologist as you may be a candidate for hormonal replacement therapy.
