Hello! I've always had a problem with my smile. I've never liked it mch and one of the main reasons is the uneven aspect of it. As you can see one side of my mouth is very high up and sharp. I love this side! The other side is very rounded and just goes straight out. Is there any way I can LIFT the rounded side to be sharp like the other side wit Botox?

Answer: Lifting mouth corners with botox and fillers Lifting around the mouth can be treated with Botox. In our practice we combine Botox with other fillers "layered" on top to get the most conservative natural look. Please see a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Botox for smile improvement Botox can be placed in the DAO muscle for a slight uptick in the corner of the mouth. However the lateral commissure of the mouth is, to some extent, what it is: the corners may not be even because off where the commissure inserts. A close analysis of the facial asymmetry in question is necessary. Often, if you look closely enough, asymmetries from one side of the face to the other often balance with other features on the same side of the face. There are also techniques to permanently change the position of the corners of the mouth with DAO reduction or division. These are technically challenging cases and are best performed by surgeons with experience in this area.
