Help! I had a total of 80 units (more than I have ever had) of Botox and barely any difference.

Thank you for your question.  80 units is a very large dose for the forehead.  Best to clarify the exact product and dosage used at the time of injection.  I wish you good luck.

Hello Brandy. This is perplexing because it's a very large dose of Botox. Perhaps you should switch to a different neuromodulator like Dysport or Xeonim. This is difficult to answer without before and after pictures. It may be that a combination is needed for improvement to the forehead including Botox with fillers, lasers and microneedling/prp. You could also try Xeomin or Dysport as an alternative to Botox. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

You may have developed tolerance to Botox, especially if you have been getting Botox injection for 15 years. After 80 units you would see some difference unless you developed tolerance to botulinum toxin. You have to discuss this possibility with your provider and take into consideration alternative injections. Good luck!

Thank you for your question. 80 units is a lot of Botox just for the forehead, is is possible it was Dysport.  Perhaps ask you doctor how the Botox was diluted or have the same doctor or another try Xeomin or Dysport.

Hello, and thanks for your question. I'm sorry you did not get the result you had hoped for. This is a huge dose of Botox. Was it Dysport, maybe? I recommend trying a different product, and perhaps a different injector. Best of luck, Dr. Frucht.  

I have never used so many units of Botox without an effect, so I would suggest inquiring as to the way the Botox was prepared and how it was injected as well as the amount injected in each area.

I have never seen 80 units have no effect. I would discuss this with your doctor. I wouldn't pay for any further treatment. Have him try Dysport or Xeomin if he feels it is resistance. 

It is nearly impossible for 80 units of Botox not to show dramatic muscle weakening or paralysis. If you still have forehead muscle motion with contraction then I question the Botox. What are the new doctor's credentials and where does the doctor get his Botox and ask for the lot number and exp date of that Botox and then check with Allergan on when it was sold and to whom.
