I have deep frown lines between my eyebrows and strong muscle movement there. I got botox for the first time two months ago (only in this spot), but I am already seeing some movement again. Should I try to wait to re-inject until a full 3 months, or is it ok to schedule now after only 2 months since I am starting to see slight movement again? I just don't want to develop a potential resistance to botox by injecting again too soon - what are the risks of injecting sooner than 3 months?
Answer: Botox Hi @peachtoadstool06! The average is 3-4 months of effect, but some individuals do metabolize it quicker. Often those who work out consistently. I don't see any problem with you returning after two months. I would recommend additional units at your follow up visit. All the best!

Answer: I would wait until 3-4 months It is likely that because this is her first injection, you and the injector are still looking to find the proper amount of balance between movement that you would like and amount of products injected. It is not uncommon for patients to return wishing they had slightly more product used. If you have Additional product injected today, that product would last 3-4 months, but the product that you currently have still working would be wearing off in the next month or 2. This would lead to you in your injector chasing your tails to try to find the correct amount of product. I would recommend waiting until 3-4 months, when you have no more Botox effect, and asking your injector to inject slightly more with a high likelihood to do a touchup in the first week or 2.

Answer: Botox after 2 months Thank you for your question. I see my patients one week after their initial Botox treatment to determine if they need more injections in some areas. Botox generally lasts 4-5 months. Getting new treatment after 2 months will not cause any issues. Good luck.

Answer: Botox Good Afternoon! The frown lines can be tough to treat. I often tell my patients that it may take a series of treatments to perfect the results. If you're 2 months out, it isn't too early to get Botox again. The average is 3-4 months of effect, but I do have those that exist outside those ranges. It also depends on the amount of movement. If it's subtle, you may want to wait to fully re-treat. Sometimes, a touch-up is needed and I will provide that for patients in between set schedules. I don't believe after one time you have too much to worry about with resistance. We often see that after high dosages and many years of use. Hope this is useful to you!

Answer: Early Botox Risk The only potential risk is that you may have return of function of certain muscles in different time frames. The muscles of the face have different size and strength. There are certain doses that are recommended and a plastic surgeon that regularly injects you would be the ideal person to re-evaluate you. The risk of developing a resistance is almost non-existant as the original Botox that led to the development of antibodies has changed significantly to reduce the chance of this happening.
