Is a straight scar or a upside down smile shape possible for me? (Photos)

Question

Hi, I have loose skin on my abdomen from weight loss, I have tried J-Plasma Twice + Fibroblast skin tightening with no real benefit. I need a mini TT, however I'm very particular about the scar shape & placement. I'd like it very low just above or on the mons pubis hairline. Also I'd like it to be a straight scar or a upside down smile shape - Like this: (instead of the traditional) curved upwards scar. I'm a male. Is it possible based off my pictures? Thank you.

It is possible that a mini TT with liposuction may produce a very satisfactory result, but it is very difficult to give a precise answer without an exam.  You have areas that need improvement above and below the belly button; a mini tuck would not address anything above the belly button.  The scar I create is flat and straight all the way across and is not a smiley face. This way the ends of the scar never rise above low cut clothing.  In addition, though healing is never entirely predictable, many patients have commented that the scar is not only low but the limbs are perfectly symmetric and straight.  (However if you want an upside down smiley face, this may be possible)

It is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit from mini tummy tuck. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Thanks for yous questions and photos. Based on your photos, I see a very well muscled abdomen with lose skin. A well placed scar is certainly possible with a substantial improvement of your excess skin. The shape of your umbilicus can be custom designed to give you an acceptable result. The real question is what can/should we remove in terms of your skin. Only an in person examination can determine the best next step. Best of luck.

You can have a modified tummy tuck where the scar is typically a gentle curve placed down low over your Mons pubis (please see the male tummy tuck patient before and after pictures on our page he is in his sixties). I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussing all your concerns. A straight scar could probably be done to remove all your excess skin.
