Hello and thank you for the question. In-person examination is needed to characterize the nature of the swelling. The
key in treating any seroma is to keep the cavity constantly drained/empty
so that it closes in. This can be achieved by either placing a
seroma catheter that stays in for a few days or frequent aspirations (daily if
needed). Continuous wearing of the compression garment is also essential. Best,

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.

The seroma needs to be evaluated by your surgeon. If it has been encapsulated it could cause the deformity that you mentioned. Your surgeon can perform an ultrasound to see if the seroma is still present.

You are still early in the healing phase and do have swelling. It will take up to a year to completely heal. Please discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

Thank you for your photo. I think it is important to have a second opinion with another surgeon because if you feel you look worse then before , something is not going the way supposed to be. Best of luck
