Do most Mini Tummy Tucks keep the belly button in its natural position? Is “floating” only necessary when skin is loose above the belly button? Most pictures I’m seeing on RS of mini TT the BB looks untouched when I look up floating they are way lower.

Answer: Most mini tummy tucks do not float the belly button A belly button float is done for access the the upper abdomen to do a full muscle separation (diastasis) repair with a mini tummy tuck. It does not leave an external scar on the belly button, and it can be re-attached in its original location or moved lower. So the best candidates for a mini with umbi float are women with diastasis, a high position of the belly button, and not much skin laxity in the upper abdomen. Most mini tummy tucks do not include the float.
